Major corporate player Accenture has announced Sunday that they will be ending a sponsorship with golf personality Tiger Woods because of controversies surrounding him that were revealed in recent weeks.
Accenture, a management consulting firm, said on its web site that it is planning to end a sponsorship for Tiger Woods that has lasted for approximately six years. The firm has deemed that Tiger Woods “is no longer the right representative for its advertising,” according to the statement.
Gillette has also announced that they will be limiting Tiger’s representation for the company, while Gatorade has also decided to drop it’s “Tiger” line of sports drink – a concoction that, according to advertising, has specifically been formulated for Tiger Woods.
Tiger has also announced that he will be taking an indefinite break from professional golfing, presumably to make efforts to rebuild his marriage with wife Elin Nordegren.
Tiger has been scathed by controversies regarding his many mistresses after suspicion has been cast on a vehicular accident sometime in November.
