Justin Mentell, former cast member of “Boston Legal,” was found dead near his wrecked 2005 Jeep in Iowa County this morning.

According to Chief Deputy Jon Pepper, a witness saw a vehicle “down a steep embankment off Highway 39, near Moscow Road north of Blanchardville” while driving along Moscow Road.

The 27-year-old actor was driving alone when the vehicle went off the road and hit two trees. Pepper said, Mentell was not wearing seatbelt.

The Jeep wreckage was found at 8:30 a.m., and Pepper believed that the accident occurred some time after 3 a.m.

From 2005 to 2006, Mentell played the role of Attorney Garnet Wells on “Boston Legal.” He had also appeared in several films including last year’s Disney flick “G-Force” with Nicolas Cage.
