After teen pop star Miley Cyrus and r&b hitmaker Usher, it is last season’s Idol runner-up turn to mentor the 8 remaining finalists next week.
Former Americal Idol contestant Adam Lambert will be back on Idol next week to offer pieces of advice and tips to the top 8. He is also set to perform during the results show.
On his tweeter account, the 28-year-old singer posted, “It’s true. In addition to performing on Idol April 14th, I will be mentoring the top 8 on the 13th. I feel honored to be asked.”
“Even though I’m just at the start of my recording career, I hope to lend some insight as one who’s been thru the Idol adventure,” Lambert said.
He also promised that he will not do anything controversial, like his American Music Awards stint last year, on the show. “Don’t worry America. I will be beyond family friendly. Relax and enjoy.”
Next week’s theme has yet to be announced.
