“Ugly Betty” star America Ferrera and her longtime boyfriend Ryan Piers Williams are now engaged.

The 26-year-old actress was seen at The Edinburgh Festival in Scotland on Wednesday, wearing a beautiful diamond ring. She attended the screening of the film “The Illusionist in Scotland.”

The Emmy Award-winning actress and the young, aspiring director first met at the University of Southern California when they worked together in Williams’ student film.

The good news was confirmed on Thursday by Ferrera’s rep to People magazine.
