Crystal Bowersox, one of American Idol season 9’s top 20 finalists, was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday after experiencing complications caused by her diabetes.

FOX released an official statement about the issue: “Due to medical issues which would prevent Crystal Bowersox from performing tonight, the 10 male semifinalists will perform this evening, and the 10 female semifinalists will perform tomorrow night.”

That’s the reason why it was the guys who performed last night.

A reliable source from American Idol said that Bowersox is all well now and will be back onstage for the ladies’ night tonight.

The 24-year-old Bowersox, who is from Elliston, Ohio, is a mother of one. One of her most memorable performances was during Hollywood Week when she sang “Natural Women” while playing the guitar.
