It turns out that many people find Apple’s new and highly-anticipated product a DOA or Disappointing On Arrival.
Just like Google’s Nexus One, negative comments about the iPad’s features and specs could not be stopped from surfacing. Both gadgets, they said, were more like “fashion accessories than revolutionary gizmos.”
Reviews posted on different websites point out the following features that the iPad should have but does not: a USB Port, a Flash player and a camera. It does not even allow its users to multi-task.
They also said that the iPad is nothing but an iPod touch with a bigger screen. It does not enable people to do things they could not do before. In short, the iPad has nothing new to offer.
The hype and publicity that this product has caused was clearly a big part of Apple’s marketing plan. “Nothing mind-blowing yet . . . Many have been disappointed so far . . . (and finally). This crowd is dying of boredom,” a comment posted on a website said.
