Seems like it’s not just the consumer folks who are getting excited for tomorrow’s iPad launch: Apple has reportedly released thousands of iPad-ready apps in the iTunes store, way before its scheduled Black Saturday launch.
Consumers can expect to see made-for-iPad versions of most of the “staple” iPod/iPhone applications, including Twitterific and the like. The Apple iTunes store currently boasts more than 2,500 iPad apps ready for grabbing.
What about the applications you’ve got synced to your iPod Touch/iPhone? Well, Apple does concede that a majority of apps made for the iPhone or iPod Touch are compatible on the iPad – key word here being “majority”. There seems to be no way to find out for sure whether or not an app will be compatible with the iPad until you actually get down with it and try it for yourself.
As for the iPad apps themselves, most will be available within the $1 to $10 price range.
