“The Bachelor”’s Brad Womack and Emily Maynard have confirmed that they’ve broken up.

In an interview with People last week, Maynard said tearfully, “We’re no longer engaged…I thought we would be planning a wedding, getting married. This is my worst nightmare. I thought there was no way Brad and I wouldn’t work it out. I’m sad, that we don’t have a happy ending.”

Womack, 38 and a two-time “Bachelor,” proposed to the 25-year-old single mom in March of this year. He told People in an exclusive interview, “ The demise of our relationship was completely my fault.”

The pair’s statements finally put an end to the media’s months of speculation about the real status of their relationship.
