An explosion in a Minsk, Belarus metro station on Monday left at least 7 people dead and dozens injured.
According to reports, the blast occured during the evening rush hour. It filled the area with thick, suffocating smoke.
A witness said, “There was a lot of smoke, the glass of the train carriage shattered, and we were even scared that we would suffocate. Everything went very quickly.”
About 50 people were carried out on stretchers, while the others laid on the floor stunned and their faces covered with blood and bits of plasters.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the blast.
