Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie reportedly donated another US$1 million to St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Missouri last weekend, according to a public statement by Brad’s brother, Doug Pitt.

Not surprisingly, the said donation will be used primarily for child care and welfare. St. John’s plans on utilizing the funds to establish a fund for child-care specialists, in addition to the construction of a new pediatric unit. These additions will effectively double the hospital’s current capacity of pediatric and neonatal facilities.

In return, the hospital will name their in-house cancer treatment unit as The Jane Pitt Pediatric Cancer Center in honor of Brad’s mother. Jane Pitt is known for her support of help for childrens’ issues.
