The British Royal Family is now officially on Flickr.

Having been quoted that being a monarch of a kingdom like Great Britain, Queen Elizabeth II, said that it takes a lot of delicate balancing of modernism and tradition:  looking at and welcoming the future while holding on to the values of the past.

And one of the products of this delicate balancing would become evident on Monday, July 26.  The most popular and the wealthiest of all kingdoms, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, is going to officially show its collection of family pictures of recent and past royals as far back as Queen Victoria.  Accompanying these treasures would be the very much needed to be publicized pictures of royal family members at work.  Everything would be with the monarch’s approval.

Making it easier to use the official Flickr account would be individual galleries of royal family members.

This isn’t the first time the British Kingdom used technology to make them more approachable to the public.  The Royal Channel in YouTube had been around since 2007 and a Buckingham Palace Twitter feed was created over a year ago.
