Brian Regan, a former soap opera actor, was charged with the murder of a nightclub doorman in Liverpool.

The 53-year-old “Brookside” star appeared in court today for shooting Bahman Faraji, 44, on February 24. Faraji, who was also locally known as Batman, worked in a pub in the suburb of Aigburth.

According to witnesses, Regan shot Faraji in the head using a shotgun outside the pub.
