31-year-old Cameron Douglas, son of two-time Oscar winner Michael Douglas, was given a 5-year jail sentence after pleading guilty to the distribution of large amounts of cocaine and methamphetamine in January.

The younger Douglas expressed his regret to the federal judge and promised to follow “the true right path.”

“I apologize to the court for my decisions and actions that put me in front of you today. I have developed, in my mind, the idea that I want to take the right path, the true right path,” he said.

Cameron Douglas is the son of Academy Award winning actor Michael Douglas and Michael’s first wife Diandra Luker. Both parents were present at the sentencing.
