Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert rule the Academy of Country Music Awards

The women dominated the 2010 Academy of Country Music Awards, as former American Idol winner Carrie Underwood, hitmaking trio Lady Antebellum and country gal Miranda Lambert bagged the major awards during the 45th annual ACM awards show.

Carrie Underwood, who brought home the Entertainer of the Year award, thanked her fiancé Mike Fisher and her mom. She was also last year’s recipient of this award.

Lady Antebellum bagged the trophies for Single of the Year, Song of the Year and Top Vocal Group.

As the trio went up the stage for the third time, they said, “It is an honor to be a part of the best genre in the world. We’re having a blast tonight! We’ll never forget this night.”

Miranda Lambert took home the Video of the Year and Album of the Year awards.
