Canadian singer Celine Dion is reportedly pregnant with her second child, as reported by Tuesday’s edition of Journal de Montreal. Dion and husband René Angélil conceived after undergoing fertility treatments done at a clinic in New York.

After her successful concert tour last March, the 41-year-old singer specifically took time off this year to concentrate on having a baby yet again. “Celine is very, very happy,” a spokesperson for the couple, said Tuesday. “Celine and Rene are full of joy. It’s been a big dream for Celine to have a second child.”

The sex of the baby is not yet known, however, it was reported that the singer will be due to give birth May of next year.

Dion and Angélil currently have an eight-year-old son, René-Charles, who starts school this week at a private school in Florida.

Dion is one of the world’s best selling female artists, who, from 2003 to 2007 had resided in Las Vegas, Nevada to perform a series of shows that earned more than $385 million.

The Journal de Montreal has also stated that the Canadian singer is expected to return to Vegas in 2010 to do another series of shows; however, now that a pregnancy is on the way, this return may possibly be delayed.
