R&B hit singer Chris Brown’s legal team’s request for a court delay has been rejected by the California Supreme Court earlier today. Court will resume hearing this coming Monday.
Brown is currently charged with threatening and assaulting his former girlfriend Rihanna last February. He has pleaded not guilty.
Mark Geragos, Brown’s attorney, appealed for a delay in court proceedings, following a previous rejection by lower court judge Judge Patricia Schnegg for access to police personnel and investigative records. Geragos was intending to use the records to find out who made pictures showing a battered Rihanna available to the public. The battery had been attributed to Brown.
Brown faces approximately four years imprisonment if he is found guilty of the charges filed against him.
