Tennessee Titans quarterback Chris Simms was busted on Thursday in New York City on charges of driving a vehicle while under the influence of marijuana.
Authorities said the 29-year-old seemed to have been smoking pot when they caught him at around 1:30 in the morning in Manhattan. They said he had a flushed face, red eyes and slurred speech.
Simms has a total of 23 career games in his seven seasons in the NFL, playing for the Denver Broncos, Tennessee Titans and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played for the Denver Broncos last season. He is the son of Phil Simms, a CBS sports analyst and former New York Giants player/Super Bowl hero.
Simms is the second Titans player to face legal trouble this year after Vince Young who was involved in a strip club brawl in Texas last month.
