Good news for Team Coco: Conan O’Brien has announced that he is going on a 32-city US tour beginning April 12.
He broke the news on Twitter: “Hey Internet: I’m headed to your town on a half-assed comedy & music tour. Go to http://TeamCoco.com for tix. I repeat: It’s half-assed.”
The tour is called “Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television,” which came from his settlement agreement with NBC. According to the network, O’Brien is not allowed to appear on TV until after September 1. Fortunately, it does not include prohibiting him from doing live shows on stage.
The late-night comedian and host will kick things off on April 12 in Eugene, Oregon. He will be at the Radio City Music Hall on June 1 and 2. His long-time sidekick Andy Richter and his former “Tonight Show” band members will be with him.
