Cowboys serve Saints first loss of the season, 24-17

The Dallas Cowboys have started to regain their December play composure as they managed to end the New Orleans Saints‘ undefeated streak 24-17 Saturday night.

The Saints‘ (13-1) performance was choppier than expected from an undefeated team, allowing the Cowboys (9-5)  domination over the game for a good three quarters. The Saints trailed at 24-3 going into the fourth, where they then successfully plugged in two quick touchdowns, the first one coming with 12:35 left in the game.

“As poorly as we played, we were fortunate just to have that chance on the final drive,” Saints coach Sean Payton said. “But we couldn’t get anything going, really.

“We’ll digest this. It’ll sting a little bit going down.”

With the loss of the Saints, the Indianapolis Colts (14-0) are left as the only undefeated NFL team in this year’s season as of yet.
