20-year-old “Harry Potter” actor Daniel Radcliffe is set to jumpstart his Broadway musical career in a remake of “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” next year.
The British star, who received positive reviews for his performance in “Equus” two years ago, will play the character of J. Pierrepont Finch in the Shepherd-Mead-self-help-book-based musical.
The story revolves around the life of Finch, who is able to rise from being a window-cleaner to a company vice president of advertising.
According to the musical’s producers, “Finch’s unorthodox and morally questionable business practices jeopardize not only his career but also his romance with secretary Rosemary Pilkington.”
“How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” debuted on Broadway in 1961 and had received recognition from the Tony Awards and the Pulitzer Prize.
At the moment, Radcliffe is filming “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” the final movie installment in the “Harry Potter” series.
