Dennis Rodman elected to Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame
 

Dennis Rodman, known for being one of the greatest rebounders in the history of the NBA, has been selected to be part of this year’s class of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

He said, “It’s cool, man. It’s a great feeling.”

Aside from Rodman, several other basketball icons were elected, including NBA and ABA star Artis Gilmore, ex-Portland TrailBlazer Arvydas Sabonis, former Golden State Warrior Chris Mullin, Olympic gold medal winner Teresa Edwards, Harlem Globetrotters member Reece “Goose” Tatum, Boston Celtics player Tom “Satch” Sanders, Philadelphia University coach Herb McGee, Stanford coach Tara VanDerveer, and “Triangle Offense” innovator Tex Winter.

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame class of 2011 will be formally inducted in August in Springfield, Massachussets.
