Michael C. Hall, the star of “Dexter,” said he has been fighting cancer and is now recovering and almost finished with his treatment.
Hall has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, one of the most curable and treatable types of cancer. This disease is most commonly diagnosed in individuals, who are in their 20s, 30s, 60s and onwards.
He thanked his medical team in Los Angeles for doing everything to make him better, he said in a statement.
“I feel fortunate to have been diagnosed with an imminently treatable and curable condition,” said the 38-year-old Hall. “I thank my doctors and nurses for their expertise and care.”
The actor’s Hodgkin’s lymphoma is currently in remission, and he will continue with his scheduled treatments.
Hall is nominated for a Golden Globe (Sunday) and a SAG award (January 23) and is planning to attend both events.
