Sam Chambers, a British journalist who has worked in China for a decade, was just collecting his baggage from the carousel at Shenzhen airport when he saw it flash on a rolling advertising screen and couldn’t believe it.

“I thought, surely not.  So I waited to check when it came up again and, sure enough, there was an image of Diana.  It’s all the more striking because today is the 13^th anniversary of her death.”  The ad has the printed “Feel the Romance of British Royalty” splashed across its billboards.

The Diana-like looking model is wearing a tiara, a necklace, a pale blue bra and knickers as she plays cello to a child.

Jealousy International, a lingerie company based in China, has the slogan:  “Free your mind, free your style”.

In Britain restrictions are present in using images of its royal family to promote any form of goods and services.  Even though Britain is still the land where the sun doesn’t set they still cannot impose their rules in every country around the world.

Clarence House, which represents Prince Charles, not surprisingly kept mum on this incident.
