9th-grader Todd Brown, the victim of a shooting incident that occurred today at the Discovery Middle School in Alabama, has died.
Janelle Lawrence, 15, said the shooting happened in the ninth-grade hall at around 1:45, and she saw the victim Todd Brown talking to some of his friends.
“I looked over and heard this big ‘pow,’ like a balloon popping,” Lawrence said. She added that the people Brown was talking to ran away. She then went over to check on Brown who was lying motionless on the floor. The kids called their teachers for help.
According to Lawrence, the shooter walked off to the boy’s bathroom: “He walked into the bathroom and put the gun in the last stall. He just sat in the stall until police came and got him.”
Brown was rushed to the Huntsville Hospital.
The identity of the shooter, who is also a 9th grader at the school, has not been revealed by the Madison police yet.
