It’s another case of underage drinking gone bad.
The 17 year-old-daughter of the U.S. Ambassador Erich John to Thailand fell from the 25th floor apartment of Herald Towers in Manhattan.
Presumably Nicole John, an incoming freshman at Parsons The New School for Design, had already been drinking at a nightclub with the help of a fake ID from Brazil that indicates she was 23 or 24 years old. She later went to the apartment of Ilan Nassimi, 25, who she just met.
They went in together with some people. Later she took off her shoes to take a picture of something that caught her eye, climbed out to the ledge, fell and landed on a similar ledge on the third-floor.
A witness from another building saw the accident and called police.
Ilan Nassimi was arrested for unlawful dealing with a child. Police are also suspecting an apartment cleanup before they arrived.
Because of the National Minimum Drinking Age Act it’s been reported that 80% of underage drinkers consume alcohol after a party.
