Emma Watson is set to go to college at an American university after the end of the Harry Potter films. The actress declines to name the university she is going to, but rumor has it that she reportedly enrolled at Columbia University.
The 19-year-old star received straight grades in her A-level exams and originally considered studying at the elite Cambridge University. However, Watson changed her mind, saying that she does not want to live her college life in a “small” city.
In a July issue of Elle magazine, Emma Watson explains: “I’m very aware that with Cambridge, people would find that interesting. Cambridge is so high-profile in itself and then, on top of that, people don’t really go out in Cambridge because it’s so small, so I’ll be going out in London and then that’s just the same thing.
“I definitely am attracted to the States for that reason.”
Watson would pursue a liberal arts degree. In an interview with David Letterman, she says she would either be concentrating in English or Art.
The actress hopes to lead a private and normal college life. She allegedly enrolled as Charlotte E. Watson instead of her real name Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson.
