Jeremy Green, a well-known ESPN NFL analyst and son of ex-NFL coach Dennis Green, was arrested on Thursday in Connecticut on several charges.
He is facing charges on first-degree possession of child pornography, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Bristol police department picked him up at around 5 in the afternoon on Thursday at a hotel in Southington. He was held on a $750,000 bail, according to reports.
Green’s arrest came as a shock to fans because he has maintained a decent reputation as an analyst who knows a lot about the game.
Mike Soltys, a spokesman for ESPN, said Green, 38, began working for ESPN.com in 2005 as a contributor writer, a job in which he would answer questions about the NFL from web readers. Green’s father used to be the a head coach for the Arizona Cardinals and Minnesota Vikings.
