Ex-JetBlue flight attendant to appear in court

Steven Slater, a former JetBlue attendant and probably the most popular ex-flight attendant in the U.S., is set to appear in a New York City courtroom on Tuesday.

Slater was charged for criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and trespassing after being accused of arguing with and cursing at a passenger last month. He reportedly grabbed some beer after shouting obscenities into the PA system, slid his way out of the plane down the emergency exit slide and out of the John F. Kennedy International Airport.

He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

JetBlue had relieved Slater of duty immediately after the incident and began an internal investigation. They released an official announcement over the weekend that Slater and the company had already parted ways. There are reports that Slater resigned from his post last week. The airline company, however, did not elaborate on the terms of their separation.
