Two new TV series, Fox’s “Glee” and ABC’s “Modern Family,” have been nominated in the best comedy or musical category in the 2010 Golden Globe awards.
“Glee” is about a group of misfits who are members of a high school glee club, and “Modern Family,” today’s most-watched fresh sitcom that uses a mockumentary style of storytelling, is about the lives of three generations belonging to a single clan. Both shows are produced by the 20th Century Fox Television.
In the last Golden Globe nominations, viewers saw several new TV programs being snubbed.
Both TV series are on their first seasons and are up against veteran comedy shows like “Entourage,” “The Office,” and last year’s winner, “30 Rock.”
The 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards will be aired on January 17, 2010 on NBC.
