Pop singer Lady Gaga and country artist Taylor Swift has, so far, won two Grammy awards early in the awarding ceremonies today.
Lady Gaga took home the Grammy for best electronic/dance album for “The Flame” and best dance recording for “Poker Face.”
“We won two grammy’s already little monsters + I dedicate them to u!” she tweeted earlier. “I ruined my makeup crying! Look for little monster suprise [sic] on the piano.”
Taylor Swift, on the other hand, beat out big names in the country music scene such as Miranda Lambert, Lee Ann Womack, Martina McBride and Carrie Underwood to snatch the best female country vocal performance and the best country song awards for her song “White Horse.”
The teen star, excited and wide-eyed, told the audience as she received her award during a pre-telecast event: “This is my first Grammy, you guys!”
The 2010 Grammy Awards is held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
