As bizarre as the idea may be, that’s exactly how Georgia congressman Hank Johnson saw it during a House session with the Armed Forces Committee when they were discussing whether or not the US should relocate a number of their military to the island.

“My fear is that the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize,” says Johnson in the plenary.

April Fools may have come and gone, but you can definitely see that he’s convincingly serious about his fear – with the straight, piercing look, calm demeanor and hand gestures.

As a result, some people are already lobbying for drug tests within the Congress.
