Former Miami Dolphins player Harry Galbreath has died Tuesday morning due to a heart ailment. He was 45.
Galbreath spent his college football career playing with Tennessee. He joined the NFL draft in 1988 and was picked up by the Miami Dolphins. He was selected to be part of the NFL All-Rookie team that season. In 1993, he signed a deal with the Green Bay Packers and played with them for 3 years. He spent his final season in the NFL with the New York Jets before retiring in 1997.
Sherman Lewis, a former offensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers, said, ““He was a hard-working guy and was kind of a veteran compared to what we had. He was always trying to provide leadership and guidance for the younger guys.”
Galbreath also became an assistant coach at Tennessee State, Hampton and Austin-Peay.
ESPN described him as “easily one of the best offensive linemen to ever play for Tennessee.”
