In the movie, a teenaged bunny named E.B., who was voiced by British actor Russell Brand, longs to have a successful rock’n'roll career in Hollywood instead of managing their family business.

Coming in second was the sci-fi thriller “Source Code,” which raked in $15 million on its debut weekend. The movie stars Jake Gyllenhaal.

Horror flick “Insidious” took the number 3 spot with $13.5 million, while last weekend’s box office winner “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules” fell three places to number 4 with $10.2 million.

Rounding out the top 10:

5. ”Limitless” with $9.4 million

6. ”The Lincoln Lawyer” with $7.1 million

7. ”Sucker Punch” with $6.1 million

8. ”Rango” with $4.6 million

9. ”Paul” with $4.3 million

10. ”Battle: Los Angeles”  with $3.5 million
