CSI Detective First Grade Stella Bonasera, played by Melina Kanakaredes, 43, is going to be one of those who had been a part of the billion dollar, Jerry Bruckheimer, TV trilogy:  CSI.

One of this American procedural television series’ iconic figures the multi-nominated actress chose not to return next season.  Apart from regretting leaving the “amazing friendships during my six seasons with CSI,” Kanakeredes didn’t add anymore explanation on her decision to leave.

As for the replacement another movie and television actress, Sela Ward, is said to be seen as the one replacing Melina in CSI NY.  It is said that negotiations are ongoing and even though Sela Ward may ask quite a sum this new character in CSI NY is hoped to add the spice that is currently lacking in the weakest of this franchise.

Even after CBS gave Melina a new contract the actress still decided not to come back.
