Is it he or is it us? Kanye West, 33, apologizing to Taylor Swift, 20, after the Earth’s complete revolution around the sun (365.25 days to be exact) makes the situation look like a type of screw is missing. Not that it wasn’t evident the first time.
West interrupted the acceptance speech of Taylor at the 2009 VMA’s. Recently, he says through Twitter: “For the first time, I felt the impact of my brash actions. People booed when I would go to concerts and when the performer mentions my name. I wrote a song for Taylor Swift that’s so beautiful, and I want her to have it. If she won’t take it then I’ll perform it for her. She had nothing to do with my issues with award shows. She had no idea what hit her. She’s just a li’l girl with dreams like the rest of us. She deserves the apology more than anyone.”
Making the apology out of tune with sanity he discussed his love of the play “Wicked” and his newfound humility. He presumably found it while shopping at Hermes.
And worthwhile mentioning in the fishiness of all of this is the release of his new record, tentatively titled “Dark Twisted Fantasy” on Nov. 14.
