Larry Krystkowiak has been hired to head coach University of Utah‘s men’s basketball team.
He takes over the position left by Jim Boylen, who was fired after a disappointing four-season win-loss record of 69-60.
According to reports, the former head coach at Montana signed a five-year, $950,000/year deal with the Utes. Utah will hold a press conference tomorrow afternoon to officially announce the news.
Krystowiak spent two years at Montana, leading the Grizzlies to a 42-20 record and two NCAA Tournament appearances.
Krystkowiak, who also coached the Idaho team in the CBA during the 2003-04 season, worked in the NBA with the Milwaukee Bucks, after his stint at Montana, and the New Jersey Nets, where he served as assistant coach this season.
