Lebanon bans Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way”

Lebanon has reportedly banned Lady Gaga‘s latest album “Born This Way.”

According to reports, the police seized several boxes of copies of the pop singer’s album when they got to the Beirut international airport because it’s “offensive to Christiantiy.”

Judas, the most recent single from the album, has caused an outrage from Catholic groups all over the world. Its video shows Gaga surrounded by the disciples dressed as biker gang members, and she was flirting with everybody, including the Judas and Jesus characters.

Father Abdo Abu Kassm, director of the Lebanon Catholic Information Centre said, “If they are going to offend us we are going to cancel the album. We will not accept that anyone insult the Virgin Mary or Jesus or Christianity … Call us traditional, call us backward, call us whatever you want. We will not accept it.”

“Born This Way” has sold around 2 million copies worldwide in its debut week.
