Lily Collins has snagged the role of fairy tale princess “Snow White” in a Tarsem Singh-directed project by Relativity Media.

Daughter of renowned musician Phil Collins, the 22-year-old will star opposite Julia Roberts, who will play the role of the Evil Queen.

In an interview at the WonderCon held in San Diego, the young actress, who made her big screen debut in “The Blind Side,” said, “’Snow White’ was my favorite fairy tale [growing up], and when I first read about the project, I was like, ‘I have to get in on this.’ It’s such an iconic character.”

Relativity Media is aiming for a 2012 release for the film.
