Lindsay Lohan was quickly released from jail after being sentenced to 120 days for violating probation by taking a designer necklace, reports The Associated Press.
The 24-year-old actress was freed at 9:21 p.m. after posting $75,000 bail, according to the sheriff department’s website.
Lohan was initially charged with a felony grand theft but Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner reduced it to a misdeamenor, even after having said she thought the actress had “intentionally taken the $2,500 necklace from an upscale Venice store.”
The “Mean Girl” star had been cast Wednesday to play the wife of John Gotti Jr. in the upcoming film “Gotti: Three Generations.”
