English Premier League – Liverpool may be in a heap of trouble for tonight’s game against West Ham United, as the two teams meet on the soccer field for the English Premier League.

Liverpool striker Fernando Torres may not be making an appearance tonight, due to some complications with his knee. He had already missed the match against Fulham, and may just miss this one as well. In fact, it might already have been decided that he’s out for the game.

Torres had been needing a checkup due to a knee injury he recently obtained, but with all the flight closures due to the Iceland volcanic ash, his appointments are getting delayed. We’re willing to bet that Liverpool will not play him for the mere uncertainty of what playing with his knee injury unchecked will do.

However, stats-wise, Liverpool is clearly the superior team to West Ham United. Both have had 34 matches on their back so far, with Liverpool clearly ahead in terms of goals. A quick check shows that Liverpool managed to win two of their last five games (one loss), as compared to one for West Ham United (three losses). But without Torres, can they keep this up?
