Police authorities in New Jersey have reportedly arrested a 23-year-old male, who they believed was connected to the accident which led to former American Idol contestant Alexis Cohen‘s death.
Daniel Bark is currently being held in the Ocean County Jail, located in Toms River, for a bail of $35,000. Bark was arrested around 6:00 p.m. Sunday in Atlantic Highlands, and is expected to face 10 to 15 years if ever he is convicted.
Alexis Cohen, 24, was killed when a motor vehicle hit her approximately 5:05 a.m. Saturday morning at the intersection of Bay Boulevard and Dupont Avenue. Cohen suffered fatal injuries to her abdomen, head and chest. Her body was found sprawled approximately 350 yards from her car. Cohen was pronounced dead at 6:30 a.m.
Cohen is best known for her explosive demeanor during the seventh and eighth seasons of American Idol, both of which she auditioned unsuccessfully for.
