Michael Blosil, the 18-year-old son of Marie Osmond, has died Friday night.
Marie Osmond issued a statement through their family spokesman Alan Nierob: “My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time.”
Although ETonline.com already reported that Blosil committed suicide by jumping from his eighth floor apartment in downtown Los Angeles, the LA County coroner’s office would not comment as it is still investigating the real cause of death.
Tammy Nguyen, Blosil’s schoolmate at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in LA, said, “Everyone was in shock.”
Marie Osmond became popular for her variety show “Donny and Marie” on ABC in the 70s. She and her brother also appeared on “Dancing With the Stars.” They currently have a variety show in Las Vegas at the Flamingo Showroom.
