Actor Matthew McConaughey and Brazilian model Camila Alves, welcomed their second child, Vida Alves McConaughey. Their baby girl was born on Sunday, January 3^rd, at 12:13 am, and weighed 7 lbs and 7 oz.

The couple, who began dating in 2006, announced the birth of their daughter through their website. According to the couple, “ ‘Vida’ is Portuguese for ‘life’, and that’s what God gave us today… we are truly honoured to welcome this little lady to our family”.

McConaughey, 40, and Alves, 26, announced the said pregnancy last June. The couple also has a 17 month old  son, Levi.
