Meet Edward Nino Hernandez, the world’s shortest man

Edward Nino Hernandez, a Colombian who is only 70 centimeters (27 inches) tall, has been dubbed by the Guinness World Records as the world’s shortest living man.

The previous titleholder was China’s He Pingping, who was 74 centimeters (75.5 inches) tall and died March 13 this year.

Hernandez weighs only 22 lbs (10 kgs) and currently works as a part-time dancer. According to his mom, Hernandez has not grown an inch since he was only two years old.

Guinness says the title might not be in Hernandez’s hands any longer because a man from Nepal is going to give him a run for his money.

Khagendra Thapa Magar of Nepal is going to turn 18 in October and is expected to be the next titleholder. He currently stands at 56 centimeters (22 inches), making him the shortest living teenager in the world.

“It bothers me that people are always touching me and picking me up…But I feel happy because I’m unique” Hernandez said.
