In what is thought to be the most profitable recording deal in history, administrators in charge of Michael Jackson‘s estate and Sony Music Entertainment has reportedly reached a recording deal valued at approximately $250 million.
The contract plans on releasing 10 albums over seven years, and may include media through unreleased Jackson recordings, DVDs and video games. The deal guarantees Jackson’s estate a hefty $200 million.
“There may be theater. There may be films and movies. There may be computer games – or multimedia platforms that I don’t know about today that will happen in 2015,” exclaims Rob Stringer, the chairman of Sony’s Columbia Epic in a report by the Los Angeles Times.
