41-year-old actor Terrence Howard secretly married 33-year-old Michelle Ghent Howard in a small and private ceremony in Los Angeles last January.

An insider said, “Terrence is so in love with her and she’s a great, down-to-earth girl who really understands and loves him for him. He feels so lucky.”

Howard broke the news earlier this week during an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper. He was making rounds for his new movie called “Winnie,” a biopic in which he stars opposite Oscar winning actress and former American Idol contestant Jennifer Hudson.

The couple was also seen at the Cannes Film Festival a few days ago. The actor had said, “To come here and be with my wife, it’s the best feeling in the world.”

Michelle Ghent-Howard is a commercial production worker, and the actor has three kids from a previous marriage.
