Miranda Lambert made CMA Awards history on Wednesday after receiving 9 nominations, the most number of nods for a female country music artist.
Lady Antebellum earned the second most number of nominations with five, and Lambert’s fiancé Blake Shelton and the Zac Brown Band got 4 each.
2010 seems to be a good year for Lambert. She took home three Academy of Country Music Awards about 6 months ago and got engaged shortly after that.
In an interview with the Associated Press, she said, “I don’t think it gets better than this. It’s been a dream and it’s not even over with. I’ll be sad when 2011 comes because this year has just been one blessing after another. It’s just incredible. I don’t know what it is about now that all this is coming to a head, but I don’t care. I’m just glad it is.”
The CMA Awards show will be held in Nashville on November 10 and will be aired on ABC.
