2010 NHL Conference Finals – The Montreal Canadiens will be hacking sticks with the Philadelphia Flyers tonight, as the Flyers lead the 2010 NHL Eastern Conference Finals 1-0.
The Philadelphia Flyers successfully pulled an easy win over the Montreal Canadiens last Sunday when they managed to steal a 6-0 shutout victory during Game 2 of the 2010 NHL Eastern Conference Finals.
The Flyers managed to score a puck during the first period, but it was really their second period performance that cemented their victory. James van Riemsdyk, Simon Gagne and Danny Briere managed to score three shots all within 9:23 of the second period, almost guaranteeing the Flyers victory for the night.
“It makes it a little bit easier when we score that many,” says Michael Leighton, who played his first NHL playoff shutout that night, with 28 saves up his tally for the game. “In the second period, we played really well. We got a few goals and that kind of calmed me down and I think it calmed the team down. It took a lot of pressure off us.”
Will they be able to hold on to their comfort nest on Game 2 of the 2010 NHL Eastern Conference Finals? Make sure you find out – watch the Montreal Canadiens vs Philadelphia Flyers live stream right here.
