An underwater photo taken off the coast of Aruba is believed to show the remains of Natalee Holloway, a girl that was reported missing in 2005.

The picture, shot by a couple from Pennsylvania in October 2009, is currently under investigation.

New York City former chief medical Dr. Michael Biden said, “It could be a body. The odds are it isn’t, but it absolutely could be a body and there’s an obligation to pick it up and investigate…If it is really a body, it appears to be laying face down with the back of the skull in view.”

Couple John and Patti Muldowney were snorkeling in Aruba when they took the photograph. They forwarded it to the FBI office in Philadelphia after noticing that the figure in the photo looked a skeleton.

Aruba Deputy Chief Adolpho Richardson said, “We try to leave no stone unturned, so we will look into it. Although the chances are very slim that it will lead to any results.”
