The latest Newsweek cover shows a computer-generated image of Princess Diana walking along with Kate Middleton.
“We wanted to bring the memory of Diana alive in a vivid image that transcends time and reflects my piece,” editor-in-chief Tina Brown said in a statement Tuesday.
Brown, also Diana’s biographer and longtime provocateur, wrote the article inside, saying, “What would she have been like? Still great-looking: that’s a given.”
Diana, who died in a Paris car crash in 1997, would have turned 50 on Friday.
